Adventures in Sedona - Days 14 & 15

Saturday, August 10th & Sunday, August 11th. Weight 150, AZ Temp 89° Therapies ... the usual :) The days are starting to blend into one y'all. And I'm crazy homesick! I keep having to remind myself why I'm here. My body feels great but my head says I wanna go home. Mind over matter, mind over matter.

Here are the things I miss besides the obvious (the fam) 1. My dog Menorah. She is always glued to my side when I'm home. She's my little baby. Sometimes I wake up thinking she's next to me. Don't get me wrong, I miss Peanut too but we have a different relationship. He follows me around but stays about 5-6 feet away. He's kind of weird like that. 2. I miss work. I know most people would think I'm crazy, and it certainly can be stressful, but it's also fulfilling and gives me purpose. 3. I miss Starbucks. Will I be able to drink it again? I hope I won't want to! Remember ... I'm hoping to kick this sugar addiction. And caffeine too. 4. I miss my art shop. The ultimate creative outlet. I have so many ideas in my head of things I want to do and make and so little time.

Now, for everything I said I miss, I will now name 4 things that I'm grateful I'm here for. 1. Time away from stress 2. Healthy food 3. Supportive staff and guests (who are all here for their own personal experiences) and 4. Being able to reflect, find clarity and explore this magical place. It'll be over before I know it so I may as well make the absolute best of it.

We've had some rain these past few days! Did you know AZ has monsoon season? And these rainstorms are not "monsoons". That's not a word. Monsoon is a "season" not a weather event. I thought that was quite interesting. Monsoon season occurs late June/early July through September. But if you're looking to come to AZ during this time for the warmth and the sun, you will get that too!

Since we've had a lot of rain, I've mostly stayed, working, reading, drawing, etc. I even went to another movie - Twisters. It was good. Very entertaining. Go see it. Like my review? So thorough.
